GOALS - Southern Capacity Building Assistance Project

To establish and/or maintain HIV prevention programs implemented in collaboration with local community-based organizations (CBOs) serving African-Americans by providing culturally competent capacity-building assistance and training to CBOs serving African-Americans.
To mobilize African-Americans as responsible leaders and key participants in the delivery of HIV prevention services.
To increase collaboration and support among agencies organizations groups and constituencies providing HIV prevention services to African Americans.
To increase participation and involvement of African Americans in the community planning process.
To improve training and assistance to community planning groups relative to recruitment, identification and retention of African-Americans in the community planning process.
