The
Southern Capacity-Building Assistance (CBA) Project seeks to establish
and/or maintain HIV prevention programs implemented in collaboration
with local community-based organizations (CBOs) serving African-American
men who have sex with other men (MSM), women and youth by providing
culturally competent capacity-building to those CBOs. Southern CBA is
designed to mobilize African-American MSM, women and youth as responsible
leaders and key participants in the delivery of HIV prevention services;
to increase collaboration among agencies providing HIV prevention services;
and increase participation and involvement in the community planning
process relative to recruitment, identification and retention of participants.
